Junior B West C'Ship Semi-Final

Glin 1-5

Knockaderry 0-10

Last Sunday week we faced Knockaderry in Askeaton in the West semi-final. In a tight contest, scores were hard fought throughout.  Gary Culhane kicked some fine points, while his brother Johnna  got on the scoresheet also in the second half. Late in the game David Horan burst through the defence to score a great goal. Unfortunately we didn't perform to our best on the night and best of luck to Knockaderry in the final. While we were disappointed after the match, this was another good year for the Junior B team as we reached the semi-finals of both the league and championship. We played extremely well in the championship with some impressive victories and it was great to see new players come on board during the year. Great credit must go to James O'Donovan and Mike Sweeney for their commitment to managing the team this season. We look forward to next year in the hope we can finally reach the Holy Grail and bring some silverware back to the banks of the Shannon.
