West Junior A Hurling Championship Quarter Final

Dromcollogher/ Broadford  2-22
Templeglantine  0-09

This was a very one-sided game but hard fought game played down in Newcastle West, in very good conditions, with the goals on the day for Dromcollogher/ Broadford came from Ray Lynch and Damien Lacey in both halves of the game and we now go into the Semi-Final against Rathkeale, on this coming Sunday August 30th, in Feenagh, at 6.30pm (with extra-time if necessary).  Please Support our Junior A Hurlers.

Evan Larkin of Templeglantine scored the first point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points came from Jimmy Kiely and Derry McCarthy.  Thomas Young scored his first pointed free for Templeglantine and then Jimmy Kiely scored another point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then James Riordan scored the next point of the game for Templeglantine and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 of the game with the goal coming from Ray Lynch and the points coming from Jack O'Sullivan and Jimmy Kiely to five points between the sides.  Templeglantine scored the next two points with both points coming from James Riordan one coming from play and the other from a sideline ball.  Damien Lacey scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Evan Larkin scored the next point of the game for Templeglantine.  Derry McCarthy scored the next two points for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Thomas Young of Templeglantine scored another pointed free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points of the game just before the break to lead by eight points at end of the half and these points came from Ray Lynch, Keith Lacey, Kevin Noonan, Michael O'Sullivan. To leave score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-12 to Templeglantine 0-7.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two pointed frees of the second half both coming from Damien Lacey and then Thomas Young pointed another free for Templeglantine.  Damien Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Thomas Young then exchanged pointed frees.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points without reply from Templeglantine with three of these points coming from Damien Lacey all from frees and the other point from Michael O'Sullivan. Damien Lacey then scored a great goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last three points of the game with two of these points coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point from Paul Madigan to leave 19 points between at end of game.  To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-22 to Templeglantine 0-09.

This is was a very good game played in Bog Garden, Rathkeale after two great games after 100 minutes these sides were eventually were separated by a point with St. Senan's scoring a goal in the second half of the game, the above club would like to thank the Management team of Jim Barry and Jason Stokes and backroom team of Christy Fitzgerald and Jimmy Lacey and the great panel of players led by John O'Kelly (Captain) for the great effort that gave during the year gone by.

St. Senan's scored the first two points of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with next five points with and these points came from Liam McGraynor, Tom McLoughlin, John O'Kelly, Billy and Niall O'Brien. St. Senan's scored the next pointed free and then Naill O'Brien of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point to leave three points between the sides.  St. Senan's scored the next point and then Naill O'Brien scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford.  St. Senan's scored the next point just before the break to leave two points between the end of the half.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-7 to St. Senan's 0-5.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points of the game with two coming from Naill O'Brien, John O'Kelly, Keith Lacey and then St. Senan's scored the next last 1-4 of the game to win by a point after two epic games, it was very hard to have a loser.  To leave the score at full-time St. Senan's 1-09 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-11.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 166th draw took place on Monday Night last August 24th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 9, 12, 20 and 26, there was no winner of jackpot at €4,700 and there was three winners of match three at €105 and they each got €35 and they were: Colm Meaney, Dromcollogher, Maura Meaney, Dromcollogher and Pat and Breda Noonan, Dromcollogher and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Pat Donegan, Broadford  and Tara Reidy, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night August 31st, in Green Bar, Dromcollogher, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €4,800 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
