THRILLER OF A GAME GOES TO REPLAY!!!

West Junior B Football Championship Semi-Final (AET)

Dromcollogher/ Broadford  3-10
St. Senan's   1-16

This was a very exciting game between two evenly matched teams that could not be separate even after extra-time time and this game will have to go a replay, on Thursday August 20th, in Newcastle West, at 6.30pm, (with extra-time if necessary) and the goals on the night for Dromcollogher/ Broadford came from: Billy Foley 2 goals and Daniel Collins 1 goal.  Please Support our Junior B Footballers.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first of the game with the goal coming from Daniel Collins and the points coming from Niall O'Brien and Liam McGraynor and then St. Senan's scored the next four points to leave a point between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 with the goal coming Billy Foley and both points coming from Daniel Collins and St. Senan's scored another pointed free to leave points between the sides.  Billy Foley then scored his second goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Senan's scored the next 1-1 with the goal coming from penalty and the point from a free to leave four points between the sides at the break.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-4 to St. Senan's 1-6.

St. Senan's scored the first point of the second half and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored another pointed free coming from Daniel Collins.  St. Senan's scored the next point of the game and Tom McLoughlin scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Senan's scored the next four points to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Donal Molyneaux of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to put back into the lead once again and then St. Senan's scored the last of point of normal time to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game and to send the game into extra-time.  To leave the score at end of normal time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-07 to St. Senan's 1-13.

St. Senan's took the lead with a point and then Liam McGraynor had the sides back on level terms for the third time during the game by scoring a pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford. To leave the score at half-time in extra-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-8 to St. Senan's 1-14.

St. Senan's took the lead once again from a pointed free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to put back into the lead once again and these points came from: Liam McGraynor and Keith Lacey.  St. Senan's scored another point from play to bring sides back on level terms for the fourth time during the game and also to send game to replay. To leave the score at end of extra-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford  3-10 to St. Senan's  1-16.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 165th draw took place on Monday Night last August 17th, in Neenan's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 2, 5, 9 and 28, there was no winner of jackpot at €4,600 and there was three winners of match three at €105 and  they each got €35 and they were: Patch McCarthy, Dromcollogher, Paddy Lordan, Dromcollogher and Séan Biggane, Tullylease and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Mary Cremin, Milford and Brian Noonan, Carraward Heights, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night August 24th, in The Corner House, Dromcollogher, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €4,700 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Non- Stop Draw

The Third and Final Monthly Non-Stop draw of the above club for the month of August and the draw took place on last Sunday Morning August 16th, after Dromcollogher mass, outside the church grounds and the following were the winners on the night: €500 Darren Falvey, Dromcollogher €200 Hugh Breenan, Dromcollogher, €100 John and Margaret Buckley, Cooles, Dromcollogher, €100 Derek Power, Broadford and €100 Roisin Folan, Broadford and the above club would like to thank anybody who supported the draw in anyway in the three months.  Please Support your local GAA club in their fundraising actives.
