FOR THE WEST SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL AGAINST BALLYSTEEN, ON THIS COMING SUNDAY JULY 26TH, IN BALLINGARRY, AT 7PM (WITH EXTRA-TIME IF NECESSARY).

On the way to the Semi-Final in the Quarter Final after a replay with St. Kieran's, on the first day out score was 1-7 to 0-10 with the goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Micheal O'Sullivan and then in the replay we won by 1-14 to 2-5 with the goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Kevin Noonan and this win puts into the Semi-Final against Ballysteen, on this coming Sunday July 26th, in Ballingarry, at 7pm (with extra-time if necessary).  Please Support our Senior Footballers.

This was a very tight game between two evenly matched teams with Askeaton scoring two crucial goals at the right time during the game, this loss is two loss from two in the group stages and our next game in the Championship is against Croagh/ Kilfinny, on Friday August 31st, in Feenagh, at 7.30pm.  Please Support our Junior A Hurlers.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points coming from Keith Lacey and Derry McCarthy and then Askeaton scored the next four points to take the lead for the first time during the game.  Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game and then Askeaton scored the first goal of the game to leave by four points.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from Derry McCarthy and Damien Lacey to leave two points between the sides at end of the half.  To leave the score at half-time Askeaton 1-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first four points of the second half with all four points coming from Damien Lacey to give us a lead of two points and then Askeaton scored the next 1-2 of the game to leave three points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two frees of the game both coming from the Lacey's brother Damien and Keith to leave a point between the sides at end of the half.  To leave the score at full-time Askeaton 2-6 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-11.

West Minor B Football Championship Round 3

We were defeated by St. Senan's on a scoreline 0-13 to 1-08 played down in Dromcollogher on last Friday night with three loss out of three and this was a very tight game played down, with nothing between the sides on the night with the Dromcollogher/ Broadford goal coming in the second half from Andy Quaid this loss puts into the Semi-Finals against the top team from the group stages, more details on this fixture during the week.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 160th draw took place on Monday Night last July 20th, in the Corner House, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 1, 10, 18 and 23, there was no winner of jackpot at €4,200 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Mary Casey, Dromcollogher and Georgina Sexton, Broadford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night July 27th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €4,200 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Non-Stop Draw

The above Club are commencing their annual 3 month "NON STOP DRAW " with the first draw to take place soon.  To this end our promoters will be calling to homes in the parish over the next couple of weeks to ask for support and the club would ask householders to be as generous as possible.  Many thanks to all who give so generously on an ongoing basis.
