Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 1st and 2nf of July 2015

All County Football League Division 1 Round 6

Dromcollogher/ Broadford  3-07
St. Kieran's   0-11

This was a very tight game played down in Dromcollogher on last Tuesday, with all the goals of the games coming from the Dromcollogher/ Broadford all the in the first half of the game with two from Micheál Reidy and the other goal from Damien Lacey.  This victory puts us onto 8 points, with four wins and 2 loss and puts into the second place level with Na Pairsaigh with both teams on 8 points but Na Pairsaigh are head on the head-to-head as well score difference with our last round game against Fr. Casey's, which was played on last night (Tuesday), see next week's paper for the report.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first goal of the game inside the opening few minutes coming from player manager Micheál Reidy and then St. Kieran's replied with a point to leave two points between the sides.  Micheál Reidy then scored his second goal from penalty to leave five points between the sides and then St. Kieran's scored the next three points to leave two points between the sides.  Keith Lacey scored his first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's replied with another point to leave two points between the sides once again.  John Barrett of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game and then St. Kieran's scored the next point of the game to leave two points between the sides once again.  Damien Lacey scored the third goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points between the sides and then St. Kieran's replied with a point just before the break to leave four points between the sides at end of the half.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-2 to St. Kieran's 0-7.

Kevin Noonan scored his first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's replied with a point to leave four points between the sides once again.  Keith Lacey then scored his second point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's scored the next point.  Kevin Noonan then scored his second point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and St. Kieran's replied with a point.  Patrick Donnelly scored a pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's scored replied with another point.  Ray Lynch scored the last point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's scored the last point of the game to leave four points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-7 to St. Kieran's 0-12.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-10

This was a very tight with the goal between the difference the sides at end of the game this puts into second place level with Knockaderry both sides on two points we are head on the head-to-head battle and  St. Senan's on top with four points and the last round of games on this coming Saturday night with us playing Mountcollins and Knockaderry playing St. Senan's, this top place will come right down to the wire on next Saturday night.

U16 Hurling Championship Division 3A Round 2

Our U16 hurlers won 2 wins from 2 after beating Tournafulla on last Thursday night on a scoreline of 5-15 to 3-11 great effort from group of players great performance on the pitch these are players of future team.

U8 Hurling Blitz

On Friday night last our U8 Hurlers travelled back to Tournafulla for an u8 blitz. This blitz was organised by the Tournafulla club, the man in charge of running the event on the night was Séamus O'Sullivan a big thank you to him. Dromcollogher/ Broadford had two teams on the night with all the players getting to play 3 games.   The opponents on the night were Killeedy and Tournafulla.  All our players performed extremely well on the night keep up the good work.  A big thank you to all the coaches and to all the parents that travelled to support the children.  The list of players were as follows: Bobby Gore, Cathal Boyce, Ryan Sheehan, Ollie Brudair, Shane Browne, Gavin Farrell,  James Stack,  Colin Burke,  Rory O'Dell, Alex O'Dell, Sean O'Flynn, Adam O'kelly.

To Limerick Senior Footballers Management Team led by John Brudair of (Dromcollogher/ Broadford) and a selector and an officer of our club they are involved with the team and they are as follows: Mike Fahy (Selector) and John Cregan (Chairman of Football Board) and also club players: Cillian Fahy, Seanie Buckley (0-1, Captain), Killian Phair, Micheál Brosnan and Garrett Noonan against Tyrone, they were defeated by Tyrone on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-08, in the All- Ireland Senior Football Championship Qualifiers Round 1B.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 157th draw took place on Monday Night last June 29th, in O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 1,13, 15 and 32, there was no winner of jackpot at €3,900 and there was two winners of Match three at €100 and they got €50 each and they were: Mai Nunan, Dromcollogher, and Pat Clarson, Broadford and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Bart Reidy, Dromcollogher and Eileen Twomey, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night July 6th, in Neenan's Bar, Broadford, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €4,000 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Non-Stop Draw

The above Club are commencing their annual 3 month "NON STOP DRAW " with the first draw to take place on Sunday July 12th next.  To this end our promoters will be calling to homes in the parish over the next couple of weeks to ask for support  and the club would ask householders to be as generous as possible.  Many thanks to all who give so generously on an ongoing basis
