Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 24th and 25th of June 2015

Results:

West Junior A Hurling Championship Group 1 Round 1

Tournafulla    1-17
Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-12

This was a very tight game played down in Colyrue in very good conditions this was our first championship game the goal on the night for Dromcollogher/ Broadford came from Ray Lynch.

Kevin Noonan scored the first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Tournafulla scored the first point of the game to bring the sides back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game coming from Keith Lacey and then Tournafulla scored the next point of the game to bring sides back on level terms for second time during the game.  Damien Lacey scored the next two points for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to put back into the lead once again and then Tournafulla scored the next two points to bring sides back on level terms for the third time during the game.  Then Damien Lacey put Dromcollogher/ Broadford back into lead with a point and then Tournafulla replied with the next point to bring sides back on level terms for the fourth time during the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points of the half both coming from Damien Lacey both from play to leave a point between the sides at the break.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-7 to Tournafulla 0-6.

Tournafulla scored the four point of the second half and then Damien Lacey scored the two points of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms once again. Tournafulla scored the next 1-3 of the game to lead by seven points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-1 of the game with the goal coming from Ray Lynch and the point from Damien Lacey to leave three points between the sides. 

Tournafulla scored the next three points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points both coming from Damien Lacey to leave four points between the sides.   Tournafulla scored the last point of the game to lead by five points at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Tournafulla 1-17 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-12.

Croagh/ Kilfinny  4-17
Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-16

This was a very tight game that went to extra-time after teams finished level in normal time on a scoreline of Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-14 to Croagh/ Kilfinny 3-11 with the goals for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Keith Lacey and Derry McCarthy and then in extra-time we were outscored by 1-6 to 1-2 with the goal coming from Derry McCarthy from a free.

Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the first point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with coming from Kevin Noonan to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the next point and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these came from Keith Lacey and Paul Madigan.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the next point to bring sides back on level terms for third time during the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford take the lead once again scoring the next five points and with two points each coming from Damien Lacey and Paul Madigan and the other point came from Michael O'Sullivan.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the first goal of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 without reply and to give a lead of seven points at the break the goal came from Keith Lacey and the two points came from Derry McCarthy and Keith Lacey.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-10 to Croagh/ Kilfinny 1-03.

Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the first three points of the second half and then Damien Lacey replied with a pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the next 2-3 without reply and then Derry McCarthy scored the next goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a point between the sides.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the next point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point coming from Keith Lacey.  Croagh/ Kilfinny scored the next point of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points both coming from Keith Lacey both from frees to bring sides back on level terms once again and to bring the game to extra-time.  To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-14 to Croagh/ Kilfinny 3-11

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 156th draw took place on Monday Night last June 22nd, in Neenan's Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were:4, 9, 29 and 30, there was no winner of jackpot at €3,800 and there was three winners of Match three at €100 and they got €35 each Hannah O'Connor, Tullylease, Jack O'Connor, Feenagh and Hannah O'Connor, Tullylease and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Jason Stokes, Glenduff, Broadford and Pat and Ann Dore, C/O O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night June 29th, in O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €3,900 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
