Claughaun GAA Club Notes

May 20, 2015

Intermediate Hurling

Our intermediate hurlers are out on May 31st against Kildimo/Pallaskenry. We need a big effort for the next two weeks from all players, to get up to the field!!!

Junior Hurling

We play our last match in the junior league against Ballybrown on Thursday at 7.30pm in Ballybrown. Results haven't gone our way, but for a team that are only back this year, performances are improving every game.

Underage

Our U14 hurlers have been invited to play in Feile na Gael in Armagh in June. We are running a clothes collection to raise funds. If anyone has any old, unwanted clothes, please kindly donate!

A very well done to u12 Claughaun and Milford N.S teams, who played a game in memory of the late Aaron O Flaherty on Friday last. Many thanks to those who organised it and made this occasion possible!

Club Lotto

Next weeks lotto will take place in the clubhouse on May 25th and will be 4,400euro.  The lotto is a very important fundraiser for the club. We have online lotto available. If you take out a years subscription 52 draws will cost  only 96euro. Tickets are also available from club bar and members

Membership

Membership is now due from all players. It is only 30euro for adult players and for full membership and 10euro for u18's. Remember all players need to have their membership paid before they play a match to ensure they are covered. Social membership is also available from club bar. Membership fee to be paid to team managers, secretary or treasurer.

Life Membership

We are offering a fantastic package on life membership this year. For more details about this package, contact Philip Judge or Michael Power.

Limerick Development Draw

The club would like to thank all members who took it out last year and would hope that everyone will support it again this year. Anyone looking to join it this year, please contact any committee member. This is a great opportunity to fundraise for the club. We would ask everyone to consider taking out the subscription for the year.

Fundraising

Due to the high cost of entering teams at every grade in hurling and football, we will be holding fundraising events throughout the year and we will be looking for help for these events. If anyone has any suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact the officers of the club. The club is for everyone and needs everyone's to help for our club to grow and to be back at the top where it deserves to be, if its only giving one hour a week. Every little contribution helps.

All in Claughaun GAA would like to wish our Limerick teams the very best of luck in each of their games this coming weekend!
