• Intermediate Hurling Friendly. MONALEEN 1-22 Feakle 2-16
• Junior Hurling league. MONALEEN 1-11, Crecora 1-10.

• Minor Football. The Minor footballers played their first championship match on Friday when a squad weakened by exams and injuries made the long trip to Abbeyfeale to play Fr. Caseys. The team played well in the first half and went in at half-time leading 0-7 to 0-5 with the feature being a fine point by Conor Doyle after a great passing move. However we were slow to start in the second half and with 10 minutes left we were 1-8 to 0-6 behind. The lads raised their game and a fine goal by Oisin Kelly and a point from Cathal Carew got us to within a point. Time ran out and it finished Fr Caseys 1-8, MONALEEN 1-7

• U12 Hurling. Thanks to Paddy O'Halloran exercising some of his Dad's hurling connections, our U12 squad, plus a mix of U13 and U11 players, travelled to Blackrock GAA Cork to play in a set of challenge games. From a total of 28 players we fielded two balanced teams with each team playing two matches against two impressive Blackrock teams. Onlooking parents and coaches witnessed four highly competitive games and we were very pleased with everyone's individual and team performance irrespective of our two wins, one draw and one loss. All players gained great experience which will stand to them in future league games. Playing for Monaleen were Ben Crowe, Bryan Canny, Caimin Hannon, Conor Yelverton, Darragh Clifford, Darragh Connaughton, David Crehan, Declan Aylward, Donnacha O'Dálaigh, Dylan Crowe, Eoghan O'Driscoll, Eoin Dignam, Eric Stritch, Evan O'Connell, Jack Ryan, John Foley, Joseph Fitzgerald, Liam Dillon, Lochlann McHale, Mark Naughton, Max Ivory, Nicky O'Dwyer, Noel Clancy, Paul O'Shea, Ronan Lyons, Rory Doyle , Ryan Power, Shane Twomey, Tony Power.
We thank Blackrock GAA for their hospitality and sportsmanship and we look forward to welcoming them to Monaleen GAA later this year.
• Many of our players will face each other in the U13 Olo Cup Final later this month when Milford National School play Monaleen National School. What a great achievement for our club to have so many players reach this level of the Limerick schools competition. We wish all players a great performance in what will no doubt be an intensely competitive match.  We also congratulate those of our players who played in the Limerick Mackey Cup competition in UL last Tuesday - Nicky O'Dwyer, Ronan Lyons, Eric Stritch, Donnacha O'Dalaigh and Joseph Fitzgerald. Well done lads - the future is bright, and more of our players will follow your example in the years to come

• U11 Hurling: Our U-11's played the 3rd round of the U11 league on Thursday night and maintained their 100% record with an excellent 2-8 to 0-2 win over a good Mungret team. CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS

• The U12 League continued with an away match v Adare on Thursday. The Monaleen girls played well from the start and build up a substantial lead by half time. A deflated Adare struggled to make an impact in the second half also and Monaleen ran out convincing winners 10-5 to 1-0
Niamh Moloney(1-0); Mia O Halloran; Charley Drury; Emily O Halloran(1-0); Caoimhe Brady; Aoife Sheehan; Aoife Nelligan(2-0);Aoife Doyle(2-1) ; Amy Burke; Ella Hession(0-1); Grace Clohessy(0-3); Juliette Pinson(2-0); Fia Robertson; Caitlin Power ;Emily O Brien; Amy O Brien; Fiona Gleeson; Sarah Hosey; Martina Sheehan & Kerri Carey.
• On Saturday the U12s took part in a blitz in Cahir and once again the girls played some fantastic camogie to beat teams from Tipperary and Cork. Monaleen defeated New Inn (Tipp) and St Flanahans (Cork) by a good margin in the first 2 games to set up a final match against Cahir who had also won their 2 matches. In a close encounter Monaleen won by 1 point with scores from Aoife Doyle, Aoife Nelligan and Ellie Madden. A trip to McDonalds was all that was required to round off a great day.
Mia O Halloran; Charley Drury; Emily O Halloran; Aoife Nelligan;Aoife Doyle; Grace Clohessy; Juliette Pinson(2-0); Ellie Madden; Emily O Brien; Amy O Brien; Fiona Gleeson & Martina Sheehan.
• Our Juniors who play as Shannonside (combined with Treaty Gaels & Mungret) played the Junior County league final on Saturday evening in Adare against Newcastle West. In front of a big crowd the girls started nervously and conceded an early goal. For the remainder of the first half the defence, with Monaleen's Grainne Fullen, Niamh Holmes; Nicole Sheehan and Aisling Doyle to the fore, held out against a strong NCW attack. With Megan O Mara dominant as ever in midfield the forwards began to come more into the game. 4 unanswered points and a goal from Caoimhe Lyons put Shanonside up by 4 at half time but still with a lot of work to do. However with confidence restored the scores came more easily in the second half and Niamh Doyle, Eileen Russell and Aoife Hogan contributed with some great play as the lead increased to a final score of 3-8 to 1-1. Great scenes at the final whistle as the players celebrated a deserved result. League Champions in only our second campaign in Junior grade is a great boost. Bring on the Championship!
