Rathkeale GAA Club
Hurlers make it two wins from two in League Campaign.
Our hurlers enjoyed their second win of the league campaign after recording an impressive win over Old Christians last Saturday evening in Rathbane. This was an exciting game where the supporters were treated to no less than 9 goals. Rathkeale came out on top on a scoreline of 4-21 to 5-09. This leaves them topping the group in these early stages on 6 points with all teams having received a walk over from Drom/Broadford. Rathkeale's next outing in the league is against Crecora Manister on May 19th. In the meantime they will be busy preparing for their opening West Junior A League match which is scheduled against Adare for April 28th at 7.00pm in the Bog Garden.
Senior Footballers opening championship match this weekend.
The Rathkeale Senior Footballers open their championship campaign with a trip to Ballyagran on Saturday evening to face last year's beaten finalists, St Patricks. St Patricks will provide tough opposition as they hope to go one better in 2015 after losing the 2014 final to Ballylanders last October. Rathkeale will hope to improve on their 2014 campaign when they made their debut as senior footballers. Best of luck to all involved. Other matches in our group that we will be keeping an eye on will be the meeting of Drom/Broadford v Monaleen and Ballylanders v Pallasgreen. Both these games will be played on Sunday 26th of April.
Meanwhile on Friday night in the Bog Garden St Kierans face Adare in a Group-2 senior football championship clash This game starts at 7pm.

Bord na nOg
The U12 hurlers played St. Patricks last Thursday in the Bog Garden. They have been grouped with St. Patricks, Claughaun and Ballybrown for the first phase of the league. A beautiful sunny evening made ideal hurling weather and our lads warmed to the task in hand. For many of our young players it was a big step up from under 10 level, but they were not daunted in the least. The game was very even from the star however slowly but surely our lads took control of the game. Michael Sheahan was very strong in midfield along with Brian Coleman and Kian O'Sullivan who played great ball in to the forwards. Michael took some nice points both from play and frees and with two goals from Eoin Fitzgibbon and Ryan Stapleton the match was secured. Final score: Rathkeale 2-06, St. Patricks 0-1.

Club Membership now due
Club membership for the 2015 season is now due. Rates for 2015 are as follows: Adult €30, Under-18 €15 and a family rate of €60. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O'Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2015.
