Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 22nd and 23rd of April 2015

ALL ROADS LEAD TO KILMALLOCK!!!

FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF THE COUNTY SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP AGAINST MONALEEN, ON THIS COMING SUNDAY APRIL 26TH , IN KILMALLOCK, AT 2PM.  PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SENIOR FOOTBALLERS.

We these two teams met last year in the championship we were victorious on the night by a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-10, but when we met in the league in the first round which we lost on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-05 but since that loss we have won all the other three games in the league against Newcastle West, St. Patrick's and Rathkeale come Sunday evening we be hoping to continue this winning steak the we are on at the moment after the loss in the first league game and we also be hoping to reserve the loss of the first round of the league.

This was a game of two halves with Killacolla Gaels leading by 2-10 to 0-06, but then is second half we out-scored Killacolla Gales by 1-10 to 0-05 with goal coming for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Declan Stack, but we lost by two points in the end, Killacolla Gales were the better team and stronger team on the night also, with us only losing four players for next year's team, things are looking good for next year.  The above club would like to thank the management team of John Stack, Pat Lordan, Pat McCarthy and James Noonan and the also the panel of players led by Darren Boyce Captain.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the game coming from a pointed free coming from Damien Lacey and then Killacolla Gaels scored their first point of the game to bring sides the back on level terms for the first time during the game.  Shane Murphy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to put back into the lead again and then Killacolla Gaels replied the next 2-1 of the game to lead by six points with 8 minutes gone in the game.  Damien Lacey scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points the sides and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game.  Damien Lacey scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point.  Damien Lacey scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next six points of the game to lead by 11 points with 27 minutes gone in the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last point of the half coming from Padráig Aherne to leave ten points between the sides at the break.  To leave the score at half-time Killacolla Gaels 2-10 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-06.

Damien Lacey scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game.  Damien Lacey scored another three pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave seven points between the sides with 39 minutes gone in the game and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next points and these points came from Padráig Aherne and Damien Lacey six points between the sides and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game.  Damien Lacey scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Killacolla Gaels scored the next point of the game.  Damien Lacey scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave the score six points between the sides again with 52 minutes gone in the game and then Killacolla scored their last point game to leave seven points between the sides once again.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last 1-2 of the game to leave two points at the end of the game and the goal came from Declan Stack and the points both  from pointed frees scored by Damien Lacey.  To leave the score at full-time Killacolla Gaels 2-15 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-16.

This was a great win for our U16 hurlers a great display was given by all players involved and it was their first championship game under new management Mikey Browne, Richard Roche, John Cahill, Kevin Noonan and Mike Boyce, thanks to our supporters and they played there part too next game Monday next April 27th, at 7pm, in Foynes football please support those underage team.  Team:

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 147th draw took place on Monday Night last April 20th, in O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 7,9, 16 and 30, there was no winner of jackpot at €2,900 and there also was one winner of Match three at €100 and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Cyril McCurtain, Beal An Atha, and Geraldine Neenan, Broadford the next draw will took place on Monday April 27th, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot going up to €3,000 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
