MINOR HURLERS
Our minor hurlers were in Championship action on Friday evening when they entertained Pallasgreen in round one.
We took an early lead from Peter Casey who goaled inside the first minute and never looked back from there.
We dominated in most positions and were never in doubt throughout the game.
Our defence was in fine form with Gearoid Synnott and Evan Gilvarry to the fore.
Our hard working midfield duo of Conor Boylan and Daniel Long supplied some great ball to the forwards where Ger kearms, Peter Casey and Thomas Grimes were prominent on the scoreboard..
A good opening round performance by the team but lots to work on going forward.
Goalkeeper Eoghan Foley's distribution from the puckouts was excellent and he was well protected by David Broderick and co throughout.

UNDER 14 HURLERS
Our under 14 hurlers were in Limerick Feile na nGael action on Sunday when they travelled to Claughaun GAA grounds to take on Ahane in the semi final.
Aided by the breeze in the first half we began slowly and it was our opponents who chalked up the first two scores a goal and a point.
However we gradually settled and had some top class performances from Evan Sheehan, Sean Hartney and Emmett McEvoy .
We led at the break 1-4 to 1-2 our goal courtesy of Emmett McEvoy mid way through the half.
On the change of ends we hurled much better and got some excellent scores from Harry O Donnell and Justin Norden who rifled to the net from close range.
We were hurling well but however it took a timely well executed save from our goalkeeper Robin Ryan Blake in the closing stages to keep Ahane at bay and we closed out the game when Dean O Donnell followed up the rebound from a Harry O Donnell penalty.
Final Score: Na Piarsaigh 3-8 Ahane 1-5.
We now play Mungret in the final in two weeks time.
