Limerick Minor Footballers
Congratulations to Dylan Corrigan and Alan Ryan who have made the 32-man Limerick minor football panel for the 2015 season. This brings to four the number of players we have involved with county minor panels in both codes this year, which is a testament to the work which has been put in overage by players and coaches alike over the past number of years. Alan and Dylan and the rest of Jerry O'Sullivan's charges face Cork on Wednesday evening in the Gaelic Grounds and we are hoping they can come out on top against a Cork side who are traditionally very strong, and will be favourites.
Limerick Minor Hurlers
Kyle Hayes started for the Limerick minor hurling team in their opening round clash of the Munster Championship against Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn. Limerick were much the better side in the first half and were leading by 7 points at one stage, before Cork got a goal before the break. This seemed to rock Limerick and Cork kicked on in the second half to claim victory. Kyle was one of the more effective hurlers on the day, lining out in the half-forward line, and notching a point from play. We wish Kyle, Darren O'Connell and the rest of the minor hurling team the best of luck in their play-off against Waterford which will be on in the Gaelic Grounds at the beginning of May.
Intermediate Hurlers
Kildimo/Pallaskenry 3-13 St. Patrick's 3-08
In the quarter-final of the City Intermediate Hurling Championship, our hurlers had a good win in Rathbane against St. Patrick's. Our lads stormed into an early head, leading 1-11 to 0-05 at the break. St. Patrick's did hit back in the second period with three goals, but we scored two more of our own as the game extended long into additional time in what was a bit of a dour, bad-tempered affair. However, our lads held on for an excellent victory and progress to the semi-final. It is also good preparation for the first Championship game which will take place in three weeks against Glenroe, and the team are preparing well for it.
Minor Hurlers
Kildimo/Pallaskenry 0-14 Monaleen 1-14
Our minor hurlers got their City Minor Hurling Championship campaign underway last Sunday morning, with a clash against Monaleen. Our players involved with the Limerick minor football team were unavailable but it was a very tight game throughout. At half-time, the scores were level at eight points apiece, with county minor Darren O'Connell leading the scoring charts as free-taker. It remained close all the way through the second half, with Kildimo/Pallaskenry leading going into the final minutes. Monaleen hit a late free to level the game, and then, two minutes into stoppage time, got a goal which was a sucker punch for our lads. We were very disappointed not to get at least a draw from the game after things had been even for so long. Darren O'Connell was scorer-in-chief on the day with 11 points, another county minor, Kyle Hayes, popped up with 2 and Conor Staff also got on the scoresheet. Next up for the team is a game against Ahane next Friday in Pallaskenry, with throw-in at 7pm.

U-16 Footballers
Ballyhoura Gaels 6-07 Kildimo/Pallaskenry 0-04
Kildimo/Pallaskenry 6-07 Claughaun 4-10
The U-16 footballers were involved twice over the past week, first out on bank holiday Monday where they fell to a heavy defeat against Ballyhoura Gaels. On the following Sunday, the team put paid to any bad memories of that defeat when they were involved in a thrilling 10-goal encounter against Claughaun in Pallaskenry. It was a very exciting game which went to-and-fro right up to the final whistle, with Kildimo/Pallaskenry eventually edging out on top. Claughaun began the brighter side and rushed into an early lead but a point from Matthew Lucey and a goal from Kieran Bourke soon had us on level terms. Wing-forward Liam Wilson then sprung to life, grabbing a goal and a point of his own but Claughaun responded well to that to score 1-4 without reply, before Adam Butler crucially got the last score of the half. We were behind at the break and were rocked early in the second half by a third goal from Claughaun to put us 5 points behind before Matthew Lucey and Liam Wilson from a free both exchanged points with Claughaun. We were in the face of adversary but for the rest of the game, we were much the better side. A superb individual goal from corner-forward Jordan O'Connell, firing into the top corner after beating at least three men pulled us back into contention and even though Claughaun scored another point, they couldn't handle Jordan who went on another great run, this time creating a goal for Liam Wilson, who punched it past the goalkeeper. By now the teams were level but Claughaun weren't about to give up and scored yet another goal to put them 4 points clear before Jordan and a Claughaun forward exchanged points. But the final three scores of the game were to go the way of Kildimo/Pallaskenry as they claim a vital victory. Jack Mullane stepped up at a vital moment to pull the lads back within a point. Then, Shaun Barry stepped up to take a '45 which found itself going all the way to the back of the net for a goal to put us into the lead. Jordan hit the final score of the game to ensure a superb 3-point win for the team.

U-15 Footballers
Kildimo/Pallaskenry 10-10 St. Senan's 0-03
The U-15 footballers also had a great win as they ran up a huge score, including 10 goals in their clash against St. Senan's. It was a hugely impressive performance from the lads.
Table Quiz
Pallaskenry GAA quiz held their annual table quiz fundraiser on Friday night. It was a very successful evening, with great fun had by all. There was some drama as three teams were level on points going into the final round but a strong round by our winning team saw them pull clear in the end. Congratulations to Tony Hannan, Anthony O'Donovan, Stephen Lane-Joynt, Johnny Ryan and Pauric O'Shea who were the winning team.
