The Galbally Intermediate Football team beat Castlemahon in Galbally on Sunday last in the County League by 1-6 to 1-5. The team was Kevin Denihan, Donal Halligan, Eoin Bourke, Billy Donoghue, Dave Cussen, Cathal Shanahan, Declan Barry, Kieran Hickey, Sean Kearney, Tom Harty, Vinny O'Connell, Ger Quinlan, Gary McCarthy, Jack Donovan, Henry Leahy. Subs: Aidan Sheehan, Nathan Byrnes, Pa O'Donnell, Mike Donovan, Andy O'Brien, James Ryan, Darren Sheedy, Pa Murphy, Niall Kearney, Tom Davern. It was encouraging to see 25 players togged and hopefully this will be reflected in numbers attending training in future weeks.

Just like Boylesports Hero last year, Ivy Hill Bart has led Galbally GAA Club to the Final of the Con and Annie Kirby stake. Boylesports Hero won the stake last year, netting Galbally GAA €10,000 before a huge local crowd and we are hopeful of assembling a similar sized support this time around. The final takes place on this coming Easter Saturday night and all patrons and players are asked to wear Galbally GAA official gear on the night. We are guaranteed a minimum of €1000 prize money for reaching the final and a sincere thanks to JP and Noreen McManus for their generosity.
