U12 Football

and Hurling

Over the past two weekends, we had a hurling game v Croagh and a football game v Listowel; this allowed the U12 boys put into practice some of the items worked on at training since we went back training a number of weeks ago. These were two great games where v Croagh we played a 15 a side game over three 20 minute periods; on the day we had a large panel but each boy got 30 minutes of a match; in the football v Listowel, we played two 11-a-side games. Both the hurling and football were played at a high level and were beneficial to all. The benefit from both games gives the coaches ideas to work on for the next few weeks before the leagues commences.

Well done to all the boys and thanks to Croagh and Listowel for coming to Newcastle West to facilitate the friendlies.
