Notes for Wednesday and Thursday 25th and 26th of March 2015

Result:

DROMCOLLOGHER/ BROADFORD WIN BACK THE WEST U21 B HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE 2013!!!

U21 B West Hurling Championship Final

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-15
Allaughaun Gaels  0-16

This was a very tight game with goal coming in the first half of the game came from Shane Murphy which was a cracker of a goal. The rest of Points came from Damien Lacey 11 points, Jack O'Sullivan 2 points, Declan Stack and Padraíg Ahern a point each and we will now play in the U21 County B Hurling Championship Semi-Final against Kildimo/ Pallaskenry, on this coming Saturday March 28th, in Croagh, at 3.30pm (with extra-time if necessary).  Please Support our U21 Hurlers.

Conor Moroney scored the first point of the game coming from a free for Allaughaun Gaels and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-3 without reply to lead by five points with the goal coming from Shane Murphy which was a cracker of a goal and with two points coming from Damien Lacey and the other point coming from Jack O'Sullivan.  Conor Moroney of Allaughaun Gaels scored the next point coming from a free to leave four points between the sides and then Declan Stack scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford.  Cian Larkin scored the next point of the game for Allaughaun Gaels and then Damien Lacey scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from play.  Conor Moroney scored the next three points for Allaughaun Gales two coming from frees and the other point from a 65m and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point coming from Damien Lacey from a 65m and the Allaughaun Gaels scored the three points to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game with these points coming from Conor Moroney, Dean Smith and Paudi Smith all a point each.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming and these points came from Damien Lacey and Jack O'Sullivan to leave two points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-8 to Allaughaun Gaels 0-9.  Conor Moroney scored the first point of the second half from a free for Allaughaun Gaels and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these points came from Damien Lacey and Padraíg Ahern.  Stephen Cahill scored the next point of the game for Allaughaun Gaels and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored next two points both coming from frees.  Allaughaun Gaels scored the next two points coming from Chris Smith and Dean Smith to leave two points between the sides. 

Damien Lacey scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford from a free and then Allaughaun Gaels scored the next two points coming from Conor Moroney from a free and the other point came from Dean Smith.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from Damien Lacey and Jack O'Sullivan to leave a goal between the sides and then Conor Moroney scored the next last point of the game for Allaughaun Gaels to leave two points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-15 to Allaughaun Gaels 0-16.

Gerry Molyneaux Chairman of West GAA Broad thanked Feoghanagh/ Castlemahon for the quality of their field, the referee Donie Neville and his officials for doing a good job on the game, he said hard luck to Allaughaun Gaels who came great effort over the two games between these sides in the championship and he congratulated Dromcollogher/ Broadford the champions and wished them the best of luck it the county and he also thanked the sponsor Andrew Kelleher of the Village Bar, Castlemahon and then he asked Andrew to present the Danny Cullum Memorial Cup to Darren Boyce Captain of Dromcollogher/ Broadford.  Darren thanked Feoghanagh/ Castlemahon for use of the field, Sponsor Andrew Kelleher, Referee Donie Neville and his officials for doing a good job on the game, he thanked the management team of John Stack, James Noonan, Pat Lordan and Pat McCarthy, he also thanked Allaughaun Gaels for two hard fraught games between the two sides and he also gave three cheers to Allaughaun Gaels.  Joseph Casey was presented with Man of Match award afterwards in the Village Bar, Castlemahon.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 143rd draw took place on Monday Night last March 16th, in Nunan's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were:  9, 12,19 and 23, there was no winner of jackpot at €2,400 and there was two winners of Match three at €100 and they each got €50 and they were: Thady Roche, Tullylease  and Con O'Connor, Newcastle West and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Pat & Breda Noonan, Dromcollogher and Mary Cregan, Newcastle West and the next draw will took place on Monday March 23rd, in Begley's Bar, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot going up to €2,500 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Club Membership (Adults) €20 is now due for payment.  Closing date for this payment is strictly March 31st.  Please note that Membership Fee after this Date is €30.
