Our second meeting with neighbours Gerald Griffins inside 7 days turned out to be another tight affair. It also marked the first time a Glin team played a match on an artificial surface in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. Mark Culhane, Shane Culhane and James Wallace got some good first half scores on the board for us but Gerald Griffins replied with points of their own meaning that we only led by a single point at half time. Our opponents really put it up to us after the break, making the most of their primary possession in midfield to create scoring chances. As the clock ticked down, substitute Fionn Geoghegan marked his senior debut with a curling point, his first touch of the game.  Shane, Mark and Pádraig Scanlon knocked over further points which gave us a four point margin of victory in the end. It was a decent performance by our lads considering it is early yet in the season but there will be many more challenges ahead with the first round of the championship against Athea only 5 weeks away.

Development Draw

The first development draw of 2015 will take place on the 11th of April next. It costs €100 for the year which can be paid through the year if you wish. There will be 10 draws during the year with various prizes of up to €13,000 and also a guaranteed lotto jackpot of €10,000 if you match 4 numbers.  This draw provides vital funds for our club and county. Contact any committee member or Declan Reidy on 086 7916852 to join.  If any of our development draw members still have outstanding subscriptions please contact your promoter as it is vital these subscriptions are paid prior to the start of the next draw.  Many thanks to all existing members of the draw for your continued support.

Training

Training continues at the field this Tuesday March 24th and Thursday March 26th at 7pm.
