MUNSTER SENIOR HURLING LEAGUE
Ballybrown 0-23 Bruff 0-21 Played on Wednesday night in Mick Neville Park Ballybrown picked up their first piece of silverware of the year. This was the long awaited final of the 2014 league. This was a very entertaining game between two even teams that were level on eleven occasions throughout the match and were also level at full time. Two ten minute periods of extra time eventually saw Ballybrown win by the two point margin. Both teams were short several regulars and Ballybrown lost Richie Kenny to injury after only seven minutes. The strength of the Ballybrown panal of players was heartening to see and it was great to see Josh Adams play a very good game in his first competitive game at senior level and to see such a strong bench which augurs well for the future.
COUNTY SENIOR HURLING LEAGUE
Ballybrown recieved a walkover from Adare on Sunday morning in the first round of the County league and their next outing is on on 4 April at 6pm at home against Patrickswell.
CON AND ANNIE KIRBY MEMORIAL PUPPY STAKES
Congratulations to Boylesports jet who has qualified for the semifinal which is being run this Saturday 28 March in the Limerick track. We are hoping to run a bus to support Boylesports jet in the semifinal of the puppy stakes. Cost of bus and entry to the track is€10 under 16s €5 if you wear club colours . If you are interested then contact Mike Burnes in club bar or Mike Mulqueen 0871304280 Places are limited and on a first come first serve basis. The decision will have to be made by Thursday at the latest.
TABLE QUIZ NIGHT
Ballybrown senior team ran a very successful table quiz on Friday. A big thank you to all who supported them on the night.
SPARE HELMETS
Our Juvenile club are looking for unwanted helmets in good working order to use as spare helmets for underage training. If you have one you are no longer using please bring to under 6, 8, and 10 training any Friday evening from 5.45 and give to the coaches,alternatively contact any member of the Juvenile committee.
