The Galbally Under 14 team had a great 4-5 to 2-5 victory away to Monaleen in the Quarter Final of the Feile Peil as they sought to defend their title. The following was the squad Eoin McGrath, Patrick McGrath, Kevin Cooke, Nathan O'Mahoney, Robert Sampson, Micheal O'Donnell, Keane Baker, Shane Hanrahan, Joshua Dineen, Jordan Dineen, Peter Morrissey, Eoin O Mahoney, Brian Heavey, Aidan Carew, Jack O Reilly, Peter O'Dwyer, Ciaran Sheehan, Adam Sheehan, Ciaran Beston.

In the 2015 Con and Annie Kirby stake, the Galbally GAA nominated dog Ivy Hill Bart qualified for the Semi Final and this will take place on this coming Saturday night 28th March at Limerick Greyhound Track. It is important to round up a crowd for this event wearing club colours so why not enjoy a family night out at the dogs. The official launch of our own Galbally GAA Family Fun night at Limerick Greyhound Track on June 13th will take place in the coming days and all are welcome. Further details will follow. We have 720 tickets to sell and this number amounts to the exact number of winning permutations that the dogs from Trap 1 to Trap 6 can finish in. Tickets are €10 for adults or €20 for family entry with two adults. For the €10 a patron gains entry to the Dog Track on the night, but is also in with a chance of winning €800 if their ticket contains the correct permutation for the order in which Dogs 1 to 6 finish. There will be three cash prizes of €200 for the remaining tickets. Therefore one €10 ticket provides entry to a great night plus a chance of winning one of four fantastic cash prizes.

It is well known that Liam Hurley, a nephew of our 1990 County Intermediate winning captain, Paul Ryan was in action in Croke Park for Kilmallock on St Patricks Day. However two other nephews are involved at intercounty level. Ronan Ryan of Piltown was the goalkeeper for the Kilkenny Minor Hurling team in a challenge game against Limerick at James Stephens club grounds last Sunday. Another nephew Shea Ryan was introduced as a half time substitute onto the Kildare minor football team beaten by Dublin in the 2014 Leinster Final. He was a goal scoring wing back in the All Ireland Quarter Final against eventual minor champions Kerry. He is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament operation and is still underage for minor this year.
