Following the start of the National Football League last night, the remaining teams were in action this afternoon.

There were games in all four divisions as counties looked to make a fast start to this year's campaign.

All over the country, there were intriguing ties down for decision and even management teams wouldn't have been sure where they are at in terms of preparation until after this round of games.

There were also hurling games in the Walsh Cup and the Kehoe Cup, as well as the JFC club championship replay.
