2006/2007 Boys Hurling: On Friday 5th December, we finished up a 5 week run of Blitz and Training events in UL.  This was a collaborative program which was put in place with three other clubs, Ahane, Mungret and Crecora.  It was an overwhelming success with over 40 Monaleen players taking part. The last night finished with a match, short skills drill with Paidi Butler and presentation of medals from some County Hurlers.
2006/2007/2008/2009 Boys Hurling - Will be returning to training in late January. A communication will be sent out by coaches closer to the time.
U-10 Football(2004's): Football training has now finished for the winter months. Training will resume in February.
U-10 Hurling(2004's): Our U-10's played their last match of the U-11 league last Friday night and again put in a great performance in defeat against a good Mungret team. This final game of the year saw some great defending from Tony Power, Darragh Langan, Conor Treacy, Leon McMahon, Shane Twomey and Ger O'Driscoll with Oisin Toland making some great surging runs out of defence before offloading to his midfielders and forwards. All of the defence worked tirelessly at blocking and hooking the Mungret forwards. Trojan work went on in the middle of the park by Jack Ryan and Ben Hayes with some long deliveries of the ball into the full forward line. In the forwards Aiden Williams, Evan Jenkins and Mark Kinsella won plenty of ball and came close on a number of occasions to creating a winning score. Darragh Clifford hit some lovely sideline cuts and Stephen Kiely won some great balls in the air. Highlight of the night was a fantastic goal from Evan O'Connell which must be up there as a contender for U-10 goal of the season.  All in all a great finish to the season with everybody looking forward to a couple of months off before we start again in February. Great credit is due to Ger Downes for organising this winter league and to St Pat's for hosting the league.
