J.J. Kenneally Wickham St. Sponsored City under 21 B Football Championship Final

Tory Gaels 1-9 Mungret 2-7

Clarina was the venue for the J.J. Kenneally Wickham St. Sponsored City under 21 B Football Championship Final between Mungret and Tory Gels last Saturday. With the very first attack Mungret managed a fine goal but the Tory Keeper in an effort to block sustained an injury that necessitated him leaving the field of play. It transpired that Tory Gaels had no replacement and continued the remainder of the half with fourteen players, to their credit the matched Mungret score for score and on the interval they were a single point in arrears. Both sides started the second half with a full complement of players and Tory Gaels were quick to settle and went into a three point lead. Mungret had players receive a Black card and a Red card and were in trouble with about ten minutes remaining. A long delivery into the Tory goalmouth resulted in a Mungret goal that reignited their efforts and despite some valiant efforts on the Tory Gaels side their race was run and Mungret ran out winners on a final score-line of Mungret 2-7 Tory Gaels 1-9.

The J.J. Kenneally Wickham St. Sponsored City under 21 A Football Final was played under lights in Rhebogue on Sunday evening. St Patricks emerged Victorious over Na Piarsiagh on a score of St Patricks 2-8 to Na Piarsiagh 0-11.
