St. Patricks club notes

Nets Go Missing (Stolen):
Following an All Ireland Colleges senior football semi final between Trinity College Dublin and I.T Tralee held in our Sand base pitch last Thursday evening in Rhebogue under lights (Thursday 20th November) but early Friday morning when a club member arrived at the pitch at 8.30am the Goal nets were taken. The club is appealing to those who were reasonable to return them or if anyone in the Rhebogue area or walking up around Plassey over the weekend might come across them lying or dump somewhere please make contact with the club. Sympathies:
Celia Slattery (Nee Shanny) of Garryowen formerly of St Patrick's Road who died recently was a member of a great St Patrick's family. Her brothers Anthony and Paddy won County senior hurling medals with Saints in 1949 and 1950. Celia sister Ann was goalie for St Patrick's camogie teams and won County championships medals. Their cousins Mick and Paddy Cunneen gave great service to St Patrick's


Upcoming Events:
Now that events on the field is nearly coming to a close but the committee will still be very active and support for the upcoming events will be needed when asked such as Leaflets Drops, Christmas Draw, Underage Awards, Christmas underage party etc. Please don't wait to be asked come along and volunteer.


GAA National Draw:
Once again the G.A.A. will run a national draw for all clubs around the country with top class prizes on offer. The club took part in this draw last year and the club were very successful with the draw that the club decided to enter the draw again this year. Tickets will be available from the Committee over the next week or please support when asked.


Senior Football:
Our senior footballers ended their season with Silverware following their 4-10 to 1-12 victory over St. Marys/Sean Finns of Rathkeale in the County football league division 1 final. Leading by 1-06 to 0-06 at the break Saints made up for the disappointment of championship success and brought home a first senior football County trophy and title to Rhebogue in over fifty years. All in St Patrick's would like to congratulate the hard working panel of players and management for the year gone by and we are now looking forward to more success on the field in 2015. U21 Footballers:
Our U21 Footballers defeated Na Piarsaigh by 2-08 to 0-11 in the J.J. Kenneally City U21 football championship final this evening in Rhebogue. Our U21 team captain Gearoid Hegarty received the City championship trophy from incoming City G.A.A. Secretary Sean Bourke following the victory. Our under 21 team lined out as follows Jamie Stewart, Gavin Mullins, Cameron Stephenson, Dean Kirwin, Brian Bennett, Ryan Meagher, Liam Broderick, Shane Halpin, Gearoid Hegarty. Colin Daly, Aaron Nunan, Keelan Stephenson, Evan O Connor, Jason Mullins and Mark Long. Subs were Owen Tracey for Evan O Connor, Craig Rochford for Liam Broderick. Scorers were Gearoid Hegarty (1-00), Keelan Stephenson (1-00), Jason Mullins (0-03), Shane Halpin (0-02), Brian Bennett (0-01), Colin Daly (0-01) and Mark Long (0-01). Bucket Collection:
Just a small thank you to Kenneth Dawson, Charlie Dawson, Colm O Brien, Barry Toomey, Paddy Quilligan and Hannah Phelan who brave the weather conditions and came out to do the very successful Bucket Collection at the Gaelic Grounds last Sunday afternoon. This fundraiser was in aid of the clubs underage teams for 2015 and the club would like to thank all the Kilmallock, Cratloe, Limerick and Clare supporters who donated on the Day.


U16 Footballers:
Our under 16 football County champions will received their County underage 16 football medals on this Saturday evening at the clubhouse between 4pm and 6pm. Our under 16 team and panel defeated Monaleen in the county premier under 16 football final and a well deserved medal presentation will go ahead on this Saturday.


Underage Meeting:
The club underage meeting will take place on this Thursday evening at the clubhouse at 8pm. This will be the club second underage meeting under the new chairperson Hannah Phelan and secretary Emma Byrnes all at the club would ask you to support this underage committee for 2015 and come along to the meeting on this Thursday evening.
