Former Limerick football manager Maurice Horan has taken up a new role with Kerry club side Kerins O'Rahilly's.

The Mayo native, who guided the Treaty County to a first ever All-Ireland quarter-final appearance in 2011 (they were beaten by Kerry), confirmed to The Score website that he will work alongside O'Rahilly's manager and former Kerry All-Ireland winning full back Barry O'Shea in 2015.

The Tralee club, who are set to be boosted by Tommy Walsh's return from Aussie Rules next season, haven't won the Bishop Moynihan Cup since 2002, despite being able to call on the services of Kerry stars David Moran and Barry John Keane.
