Kilmallock manager Ger 'Sparrow' O'Loughlin reckons his side's Munster club SHC final against Cratloe could be "another epic".

The former Clare All-Ireland winner is more familiar than most with Joe McGrath's side and speaking to the Irish Examiner after Kilmallock's thrilling extra-time victory over Sarsfields yesterday, he revealed: "I've gone to see them this year, they beat my own club, Clarecastle.

"They are a serious outfit. I think they're going to be so hard to beat, but the one thing about our lads is that we're not going to lie down. We'll go out and give it everything.

"It's going to be a great game. I'm a great admirer of Cratloe hurling - and football - but I just think it could be another epic, two good hurling teams meeting each other."

'Sparrow' was delighted with the character his Limerick champions showed in seeing off their Cork counterparts.

"I think what won it for us in the end was we just got the couple of breaks towards the end. No guy gave up. They ran themselves into the ground," he added.
