Mulcahy focused on Munster

Limerick's Graeme Mulcahy tackled by Michael Walsh of Waterford

Kilmallock captain Graeme Mulcahy believes that it is time they made their mark on the Munster club SHC.

This weekend, they begin their provincial campaign with a semi-final clash against Cork champions Sarsfields at Kilmallock and Mulcahy feels it's time that they matched their Limerick rivals Na Piarsaigh at this level.

Na Piarsaigh have won two Munster titles in the last few years, while Kilmallock have also played in the provincial campaign twice in the last five years; losing in the first round on each occasion.

That is a statistic that Mulcahy wants to put right and the county star told the Limerick Leader that they must take a leaf out of their rivals book.

"Na Piarsaigh were by far the best team in Munster and we have beaten them so I can't see any reason why we can't win games in the Munster club," said Mulcahy.

"It's a massive motivation to try and get to a Munster final. We have lost twice in quarterfinals but knowing that we can reach a final would make a win on Sunday all the sweeter."
