The payments company Stripe, which was founded by young Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collison, has been confirmed as the international payments partner for RTÉ's global Gaelic games streaming service, GAAGo.

The announcement, made at the Dublin Web Summit today, means Stripe will handle the payments for all transactions on the service, from single-game amounts to season subscriptions.

A season pass for the entire GAA season for every senior championship in both hurling or football costs €110. Individual games cost between €10 and €14.

The service, which is not available within Ireland, was set up five months ago to cater for the Irish abroad.

Patrick and John Collison, who are 25 and 23 respectively, are past-pupils of Castletroy College and employ more than 150 people at Stripe, which is valued at a whopping $1.75 billion.
