ALL ROADS LEAD TO FEENAGH!!!

FOR THE WEST MINOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL AGAINST GRANAGH/ BALLINGARRY/ BANOGUE, ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH, IN FEENAGH, AT 4.30PM, (WITH EXTA-TIME IF NECESSARY), PLEASE SUPPORT OUR MINOR FOOTBALLERS.

On our way to the final in round 1 we had a bye and then in round 2 we lost to Mountcollins/ Athea rangers on a scoreline 4-9 to 0-5, in round 3 we lost to Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Banogue on a scoreline of 0-14 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-6, in round 4 we defeated St. Kieran's on a scoreline of 6-11 to 2-10, in round 5 we lost to St. Mary's/ Sean Finn's on a scoreline of 1-20 to 1-05, in round 6 we gave a walkover to Adare and then in seventh and final round we lost to Deel Rangers and then in the Semi-Final of the West Minor B Football Championship we defeated St. Kieran's again on a scoreline of 6-13 to 3-05.  We been hoping to reverse the scoreline from the group stages against Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Banogue come Saturday afternoon, please support our Minor Footballers.

This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford always been on top throughout the game with scoring at half-time reading Dromcollogher/ Broadford 5-4 to St. Kieran's 3-4, with St. Kieran's on scoring a point in the second half compared to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-09 and we now play Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Banogue in the final, on Saturday October 4th, in Feenagh, at 4.30pm (with extra-time if necessary).  Please Support our Minor Footballers.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first 2-3 of the game with the goals coming from Daniel Curtain and Denis Donegan, the points came from Shane Murphy, Declan Stack from 45m against the wind and the other point came from Denis Donegan to bring his personal tally to 1-1 in the game so far and then St. Kieran's replied with their first point of the game to leave eight points between the sides.  Aodhan Breenan scored the next of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then St. Kieran's scored the next point.  Mikey Browne scored the third goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave eleven points between the sides with 15 minutes gone in the game and then St. Kieran's came back into the game scoring the next 2-2 to leave a goal between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two goals again and these goals came from Declan Stack and Denis Donegan his second of the game to leave nine points between the sides and then St. Kieran's scored the next goal of the game there third goal of the game just before the break to leave six points between the sides at end of the half.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 5-4 to St. Kieran's 3-4.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first four points of the second half with these points coming from Mikey Browne, Damien Burke, Denis Donegan and Shane Murphy and then St. Kieran's replied with their last point of the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last 1-5 with the goal coming from Denis Donegan his third of the game and with two each of these points coming from Damien Burke and Shane Murphy and the other point came from Mikey Browne to leave 17 points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 6-13 to St. Kieran's 3-05.

County Senior Football Championship Semi-Final

This was a very tight game played down in Mick Neville Park Rathkeale, with the better team on the night coming out on top with Ballylanders being the only beat the champions twice this year, the two goals in both halves for Ballylanders came from Danny Frewan. The above club would like to thank the management team of: Ben Noonan, Gerard O'Connor, Thomas Dillon and the backroom team of: Garry Noonan, Jim Barry, Christy Fitzgerald, Colm and Gareth Meaney and also Bridget for doing physio.

Ballylanders took the lead from Kieran O'Callaghan from a free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with the next three points to take the lead for the first time during the game and these points came from Killian Phair, Michael O'Sullivan for Patrick Donnelly.  Ballylanders the scored the next 1-3 without reply with the goal coming from Danny Frewan the with Kieran O'Callaghan scored all of the three points all coming from frees and then Killian Phair replied with a point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a goal between the sides.  Ballylanders scored the next three points and with of these points coming from Kieran O'Callaghan and the other coming from Danny Frewan to lead by six points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford then scored the next three points coming from Micheál Reidy, Killian Phair, Patrick Donnelly to leave a goal between the sides at the break.  To leave the score at half-time Ballylanders 1-7 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-7.

Ballylanders scored the next 1-1 without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford with the goal once again coming from Danny Frewan his second of the game and then a point from Kieran O'Callaghan to leave seven points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points to leave four points between the sides with two of these points coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point coming from Micheál Brosnan and then Ballylanders scored the next coming from Eoin Walsh.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to bring back down to three points Micheál Reidy and Cillian Fahy and then Kieran O'Callaghan of Ballylanders scored the last point of the game to make win by four points on the night.  To leave the score at full-time Ballylanders 2-10 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-12.

U13 Hurling League Division 3 Round 3

We defeated Shamrock Gaels on a scoreline of 3-7 to 4-1 played on Monday last played in Dromcollogher, played in very good conditions, this was a third win in this competition so puts into the final against St. Patrick's on Saturday November 1st, in Mick Neville Park (Rathkeale), time to be announced.  Please Support our U13 Hurlers.

Under 8 Football Blitz

On Wednesday night last our U8 footballers played there last blitz of the year in Mick Neville Park.  As per usual we had a great turnout of players we had to play three matches.  Our first game was against St. Senan's we played ten aside with us having 3 subs putting them in and out as often as we could.  This was a tough game with St. Senan's getting the better of us first but our boys grew into the game.  We were defeated by a few points in this game.   Our next game up was against Askeaton/ Ballysteen our boys were well turned in for this game. All our players worked very hard with them getting some great scores by putting us in control of the game and were winners in this game. On our third and final game we played all of our younger players against St. Kieran's and they played some nice football and emerged winners on this occasion.   On behalf of the management we would like to thank all the players who took part in all our football blitzes and our training sessions and a big thank you to all the parents for their help and for transporting all the players to the blitzes and to training.  
The following players were: Sammy Egan, Robbie Lynch, Aaron Leahy, Shane Geary, Ronan O'Sullivan, Gerard O'Callaghan, Shane Browne, Gavin Farrell, Adam O'Kelly, Rory o' Dell, Alex O'Dell, ben Croake and Ollie Brudair.  Next up for these players is U8 hurling blitz on this coming Saturday October 4th and we will have training in Dromcollogher at 5:45pm, on this coming Thursday October 2nd.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 120th draw took place on Monday Night last September 29th, in O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 12, 14, 19 and 32, there was no winner of jackpot at €13,200 and there also was one winner of the match three at €150 and that was Alison Curtain, Meelin and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Richard Roche, Mondellihy, Dromcollogher and Pat O'Brien, Feohanagh and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday October 6th, in The Green Bar, Dromcollogher, with the jackpot going up to €13,300 (win or share) and with the match coming back down  €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Membership for the above club €20 playing and non-playing in both adults and Students for this year is now overdue since March 31st, please pay to the relevant people you are not covered to play unless you have your membership paid in full.
