Monaleen GAA Club Notes

LOTTO:  There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €12,400 numbers drawn were 10,24,27 and 31.  The next jackpot will be €12,700.  Our four lucky dip winners were:  P. Kelly,  A. Long,  P. Murphy and M. Cagney.  Tickets can be purchased on a weekly basis from local shops and pubs.  Please support us as this support is vital to the development of the club. 
One Helluva Hooley was a huge success, thanks to a very hardworking committee, and the drive of Alan Kitson.  Everyone who was there had a fantastic night, with Brian and Niamh Toland taking the best dressed prize.  Fergus and Mags Melody were  a close runner-up, and thanks to everyone who contributed to make this night such am enjoyable event.
Junior B Hurlers had an impressive win against Patrickswell on Sunday in Clarina. Scoreline of  3-08 to 1-07.  Special mention to Pa Ryan who suffered a broken arm in the game.  We wish you a speedy recovery Pa!  The final is provisionally fixed for 14 Sept.

Our Intermediate hurlers are facing Kildimo/Pallaskenry in Mungret on  12 Sept in Championship. - keep an eye on our facebook page for updates.

Limerick Minors: Best of luck to the lads involved in the All Ireland Minor Hurling Final this coming Sunday:  A special mention to our own club members Andrew, Lorcan, Jamie and Ed.

Gaelic for Mothers & Others: Our Gaelic for Mothers and Others has returned.  Times have changed  as the nights begin to draw in - 7.30 - 8.30 in the  Clubhouse field.  New recruits are always welcome.


JUVENILE HURLING & FOOTBALL: 
Juvenile Training times: Some training times are subject to change over the summer months, if you have any questions, contact the coach, or email the club [email protected]
Don't forget the mouthguards!  All juvenile fixtures (U13-U16) for the year are now available on the calendar on the website.  (www.monaleen.gaa.ie/club-calendar)
2001 Football: Training takes place each Tuesday evening at 7.15 p.m.
2002 Footballers: Training each Monday at 6.30pm in Peafield Road. 
U6/U7/U8 Hurling:.  We will return to training as normal for all groups (U6/U7/U8) including any newcomers on Friday 12th Sept, 6.30 at Clubhouse pitch.
U6 Football are taking a break for July and August.
U7/U8 Football : now training Mondays at the Clubhouse at 6.30 p.m
U10 HURLING: Our U10 hurler's participated in the August U-10 GO Games held in UL last Friday. We brought a squad of eighteen players to the blitz who we divided up into two teams for the night. Both teams played three games on the night with all the player giving their all. Red Squad: Tony Power, Oisin Toland, Joseph Fitzgerald, Darragh Murray, Andrew Clinton, Patrick Mulkern, Evan Jenkins, Darragh Langan, Ben Moylan. White Squad: Ben Hayes, Darragh Clifford, Aiden Williams, Shane Twomey, Evan O'Connell, Oisin Williams, Oisin O'Connor, Ben Murnane, Muiris O'Dalaigh. U-10 hurling Training resumes Friday 5th September at 6.30pm at clubhouse pitch. We are bringing the U-10 hurling squad to a blitz in Craughwell Co. Galway on Sunday 14th September. 
U-10 FOOTBALL: Training resumes on Monday's at 6.30pm starting September 1st at clubhouse pitch.
U11 Hurling: Training continues on Fridays in Peafield 6pm.
U11 Football: Are on a break until the end of August. 
U13 Football: Training continues on Tuesday evening s at 7:15 at the clubhouse
U16 Football:  Training for U15's and U16's has been changed to Thursday at 7.30 in Newtown.
U16 hurling: Training continues on Sunday afternoons 3pm, clubhouse pitch

Juvenile Registration - Monaleen GAA is moving to an online registration system, which will eliminate the current paper based system.  This new system is expected to be up and running in September, and we will be in touch later with more details.

CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES:

Cards: Every Thursday night at 9
Having a Party? The Clubhouse is available to hire for private parties - 21st, 30th, 40th, Christenings/Communions, etc.  Talk to Tony Power, Caroline O'Kane or Paudie Ryan in the Bar
Monaleen GAA welcomes Slimming World to the clubhouse from next Tuesday.  Class times are as follows:  9.30. 11.30. 3.30, 5.30 and 7.30. Everyone is welcome.

CLUB GEAR: Monaleen Club Sports Gear is available to purchase from the Castletroy Car Care shop next to SuperValu in the Castletroy Shopping Centre.
Monaleen GAA Club car stickers are now available from the clubhouse and a variety of sellers. €3 each or 2 for €5. Proudly show your support for your club.
