August 29, 2014

There are no fewer than seven underage Limerick hurling teams in action this weekend.

The Shannonsiders will be represented on the double in a number of competitions this weekend as two teams at under-14, 15 and 16 and one at under-17 are set to take to pitches across the country on Saturday.

The two under-14 'A' and 'B' squads are taking part in the Tony Forristal and Sonny Walsh tournaments respectively in Waterford this weekend.

Cork is the under-15 'A' squad's destination as they take part in the Munster tournament, while the 'B' squad will be based in Clarecastle in the same competition.

The under-16 'A' squad play in the prestigious John Doyle Perpetual Trophy and the 'B' panel are in the Tipperary Supporters Club competition.

The last county team in action is the under-17s who travel to Mallow in Cork where they will play Kilkenny and Clare.
