Junior A West Championship
Fr. Casey's 2-13  Ballingarry 0-06
Last Thursday evening our Junior team played Ballingarry in the Junior Championship in Newcastlewest. Fr. Casey's had a poor first half and could only register three points with Jamie O'Connor, Eoin Joy and John Lenihan getting on the scoresheet. At half time Ballingarry had a two point lead on a scoreline of 0-05 to 0-03. Maurice Flynn, J.D. Foley and Liam McNally were glad to get their players in at the break as the build-up in the first half was too slow. A few tactical changes had the team moving much more freely in the second half and the scores started to come. Joy added another 1-02 to his tally while Cathal Broderick got forward to score another great goal. John Lenihan (2), Jamie O'Connor (2), Johnaton Lyons (2), Paudie Smith and Kieren Wynne all managed to put the ball between the posts to give Fr. Casey's a comfortable cushion of thirteen points at the final whistle. The final score was Fr. Casey's 2-13 Ballingarry 0-06 and Fr. Casey's are now qualified to play in the West Junior Championship Semi Final.

Senior County Championship
Fr. Caseys 0-15 Galbally 0-07

Fr. Casey's played Galbally on Saturday evening in Kilmallock in the fourth round of the Limerick Senior Football Championship. After a tough first half, Fr. Casey's went in at half time with a five point lead on a scoreline of 0-08 to 0-03. Fr. Casey's could have been further ahead only for some wayward shooting in front of goals. Although they were in a strong position at half time, the team never got into a scoring rhythm and failed to convert possession and opportunities into scores. Fr. Casey's were lucky not to have conceded a goal or two in the second half as Galbally missed two big opportunities in front of our goal. The final score was Fr. Casey's 0-15 Galbally 0-07. Our Seniors are now qualified for the knock out rounds but must first play St. Kieren's to decide they reach the quarter final or the semi final stage with a draw being enough to achieve the latter.
