This was a very tight game with Ballylanders getting the win on the night to put on top of group with three played three wins on 6 points, with Dromcollogher/ Broadford and St. Patrick's level on 4 points each, St. Mary's/ Sean Finn's on two points and Pallasgreen and Monaleen at the bottom of the group with no points from their games. Our next fixture in the championship is against St. Mary's/ Sean Finn's, on this coming Saturday August 23rd, in Feenagh, at 6.30pm. Please Support our Senior Footballers.

Ballylanders scored the first point of the game came from Kieran O'Callaghan from a pointed free and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next five points with two points each coming from Seanie Buckley and Killian Phair and the other point came from Kevin Noonan. Ballylanders replied with the next three points and these points coming from Mark O'Connell, Kieran O'Callaghan and Steve fox to leave a point between the sides. Derry McCarthy scored another point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford just before the break to leave two points between the sides at the end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-6 to Ballylanders 0-4.

Ballylanders scored the first two points of the second half to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game and these points came from Kieran O'Callaghan and Jimmy Barry Murphy. Killian Phair of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Donal Kelly of Ballylanders exchanged points to bring sides of back on level terms for third time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these points came from Kevin Noonan and Killian Phair and then Ballylanders scored the next four points to take the lead once again with three points came from Kieran O'Callaghan and other point from Danny Frewan. To leave the score at the full-time Ballylanders 0-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-09.

This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading by 2-4 to St. Kieran's 1-4 and then second half Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored 4-7 to St. Kieran's 1-6 and Declan Stack scored 3-6 on the night and two goals came from Aodhan Breenan and the other goal came from Mikey Browne, this was our first victory in the Minor Football Championship of the year so far and with one fixture left against Deel Rangers, more details on this fixture during the week. St. Kieran's scored the first 1-3 of the game and Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points both coming from Declan Stack. St. Kieran's scored another point and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with their first goal of the game coming from Aodhan Breenan to leave two points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford the next 1-2 just before the end of the half with Declan Stack scoring 1-1 and the other point coming from Damien Burke to take lead by a goal going into the break for the first time during the game. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-4 to St. Kieran's 1-4.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first 1-2 with 1-1 coming from Declan Stack and the other point coming from Denis Donegan and then St. Kieran's replied with the next 1-2 to leave four points between the sides Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these points came from Damien Burke and Declan Stack. St. Kieran's scored the next two points to leave four points between the sides once again and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 with 1-1 coming again from Declan Stack and the other point coming from Denis Donegan. St. Kieran's replied with a point and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored two more goals and these goals came from Aodhan Breenan his second of the game and the other goal came from Mikey Browne. St. Kieran's replied with another point before the end of the game to leave 13 points between the sides full-time.

U16 Hurling Championship Division 2 Quarter Final

We defeated Doon on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-03, this was game was played in Doon on last Monday night with the scores on the night coming from Jack O'Sullivan (1-2), Evan Murphy and Damien Burke (0-1), this is our season over for the U16 Hurling for this year the above club would like to thank the boys for putting in the effort in the hurling this year and so would like to thank Tom O'Callaghan and Maurice O'Sullivan for all the training during the year. The U16'S are not finished yet we have Football next Monday night August 25th against St. Mary's/ Sean Finn's, in Bog Garden (Rathkeale), at 7pm (with extra-time if necessary). Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 114th draw took place on last Monday Night last August 18th, in O'Shea's Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 7, 12, 16 and 18, there was no winner of jackpot at €12,600 and there was one winner of the match three at €150 and that was Killian Cahill, Dromcollogher and the 2 lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Jackie Flynn, Feohanagh and John Brudair. Newcastle West and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday August 25th, in Neenan's Bar, Broadford, with the jackpot going up to €12,700 (win or share) and with the match three coming back down to €100 (win or share). Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

Membership for the above club €20 playing and non-playing in both adults and Students for this year is now overdue since March 31st, please pay to the relevant people you are not covered to play unless you have your membership paid in full.
