TJ Ryan will continue in his role as Limerick manager for a further three years.
The announcement came just two days after Ryan's team suffered a narrow loss to Kilkenny in the All Ireland Senior hurling semi-final.
The Garryspillane club man became sole manager last April after Donal O'Grady's departure as joint-manger. Ryan then led the reigning Munster champions to the provincial final for the second year in a row before losing to Cork.
The Limerick county board released a statement this evening which said "Limerick CLG is delighted to announce that TJ Ryan will continue in his role as Limerick Senior Hurling Manager for a further 3 year term.
"TJ, his backroom team and the entire panel should be complimented for their unwavering commitment to the Limerick jersey and the entertainment they gave all Limerick fans this season.
"The board look forward to offering our continuing support in 2015 and beyond."
