Chairman Oliver Mann will sit down with TJ Ryan to discuss his future as Limerick senior hurling manager.
Ryan has done an exceptional job at the Treaty County helm since the departure of his co-manager Donal O'Grady in April and it seems certain he will be offered another term at the helm:
"We'll be meeting with TJ and taking it from there," Mann comments in The Irish Examiner. "That's normal at the end of the championship.
"Less than 24 hours after the [Kilkenny] game, the feeling is of disappointment but there are plenty of positives and we will be going over the year with TJ. The year finished up on a high point although the general public opinion the morning after the game is one of disappointment, naturally.
"We'll have to wait until we meet. I think the outlook for Limerick hurling is very, very positive. Without sitting down with him, I can't say what TJ is thinking. We'll be meeting with him and hopefully we'll have a manager in place within a short space of time.
"It was totally different than last year and it was a totally different lead into it as well. The lads were gutted after the match but at the same time they can have no regrets.
"They did everything they possibly could to beat a very good Kilkenny team. There were only two points in it but it was very hard to take.
"The players, TJ and we the board wanted to move on together for the betterment of Limerick hurling, and I think we have done that."
