Senior Hurlers

Our senior hurlers travelled to Bruff on Tuesday for the semi final of the County League where they faced Granagh Ballingarry.
Fielding a very young team with no fewer than 7 under 21's in the starting line up.
Playing against a very strong breeze in the first half, scores were very difficult to come by and it was full forward William O Donoghue who kept us in touch with some very good free taking.
We trailed at the break 0-11 to 1-4 with our goal also coming from the stick of Will O Donoghue.
The second half was much improved and our backs were very good with Mike Casey and kieran Kennedy showing great leadership while up front Adrian Breen, Mike Foley and David Dempsey worked hard.
Our second goal coming from good teamwork expertly finished off by Adrian Breen.

Junior Footballers

Our junior footballers entertained Monaleen in the City Championship on Saturday evening.
Under the stewardship of Eoin Hogan Jnr the lads played some great football and were good value for their victory.
Superbly marshalled by full back and captain Shane O Connor along with Kieran Kennedy at center back the team worked well as a unit.
The forwards looked dangerous when in posession and a fine move ended with the Brick brothers engineering a good goal. The goal being scored by Timmy Brick following a superb pass by his brother William.
We Led at the break 1-6 to 0-5.
The second half we continued working hard and in spite of a converted Monaleen penalty we regained control when substitute Killian Collins rifled home our second and decisive goal.
