Brudair: veterans still have a lot to offer

John Brudair has called on Limerick's long-serving football stars to give it another year.

The futures of John Galvin, Stephen Lucey, Paudie Browne, Pa Ranahan and Mark O'Riordan are under the microscope following the Treaty County's All-Ireland exit at the hands of Sligo, and manager Brudair is urging them to think long and hard before coming to a decision.

"I just said to them inside in the dressing-room that I hope they take their time making a decision because I think every one of them can still play next year," he is quoted on the Limerick Leader website.

"It's just a case of having the desire and appetite to do it - there was some savage performances over the last three games by everybody on the panel, both old and young, so I think it's vital they take time to make the decision and hopefully come back to play for Limerick again."
