County Senior Football Championship This Weekend
All roads lead to Bruff this Saturday evening for the eagerly awaited first round of the County Senior Football championship against Pallasgreen at 6.30pm. We beat them in the league a few weeks ago, but current form is sure to count for nothing once the ball is thrown in for our first Senior Championship game. Come along and support the boys in blue. Other games in Group-2 see Ballylanders play Monaleen in Bruff on Sunday at 6.45 and Drom/Broadford play St Patricks in Kilmallock on Saturday at 6.45.
Meanwhile in Group-1, Fr Caseys play Newcastlewest in Dromcolliger on Friday at 6.30 and Galbally play Ballysteen also on Friday at 6.30 in Feenagh, then on Saturday we host St Kierans versus Adare in The Bog Garden at 6.45.

Under-21 Hurlers Co Semi-final - It's on / it's off / it's on again / it's off again.
The County U21-A Hurling semi-final between ourselves and Pallasgreen is proving be a bit of a tough one to get played. It has been postponed already a few times at this stage, twice due to one of our players playing with the County Minor football team. At this stage the information is that it will be re-fixed at a meeting on Tuesday night.
Sean Og Hanlys play Monaleen in the 2nd semi-final in Bruff on Tuesday night at 6.30pm. The winners of both semis will meet in the final on 27th April. - Best of luck to St Marys.

Senior Football League - Looking to make it 3 League Wins from 3
A fairly comprehensive win against Mountcollins (1-15 to 2-06) last week sees us with 3 wins from 3 games in the County Senior Football league (Group-2). We play Mungret tonight (22-April) in the Bog Garden in round-4 at 6.30pm.

Good Start for Junior Hurlers
St Mary's junior hurlers are training away after a good start to the season with two wins from two after defeating Ballybricken in their opening county league game. This was followed with a good win over Askeaton in a game that was doubled up as a West & County League game. Murroew have withdrawn from th league so the Crecora game on 27th May will decide who finishes in top and in 2nd place. Only the top place team will make the County Final in the All-County League

Meanwhile on the West League we have been progressing nicely also with 2 wins from 2 game against Askeaton & Glantine. Here also our final group game against Adare on 1st May will define the top two places. Both teams will make the League semi-finals either-way on 27th May

Limerick GAA Club Draw (Formerly Mackey Draw)
We had no luck last Saturday morning which was disappointing. However there are 9 more draws throughout the year so hopefully, we will have better luck next time. Did you catch the draw live on Limerick's Live95FM. It was on at 10.30am. The next one is on Saturday May 3rd and then on Saturday May 31st. After that they will continue on the last Saturday of each month live on Limerick live 95fm. Best of luck to all of our members and thank you for your continued support.

Club Membership now overdue
Club membership for the 2014 season is now due. Rates for 2014 remain unchanged from last year and are as follows: Adult €20, Under-18 €10 and a family rate of €50. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O'Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2014, before training commences. We are taking this matter very serious this year and you simply won't play if you haven't paid, players are also going to ensure that their fellow players have paid so no excuses..

Scrap Metal
There's an old saying that says "It's an ill wind that blows no good". Maybe the storms of last week have increased the possibility of scrap metal in the area. We would like take this opportunity to remind our friends and supporters that the club has an on-going scrap metal collection operation in place. Contact James O'Connor or any committee member if you have anything to donate. Collection can be arranged if necessary.
