Mike O Connell's Menswear Catherine Street City Senior Hurling Championship:
Ballybrown and Mungret met last Saturday evening in Claughan in the City Senior Hurling Championship. Ballybrown were too strong for Mungret on the night and despite a slow start it was almost 9 minutes before David Hall opened the scoring with a well taken goal. Ballybrown outscored Mungret by 3-10 to 0-2 in the remainder of this half.
David Hall contributed 3 Goals and 1 point and Alan O Connor chipped in with 5 points from placed balls including a fantastic side line cut.
Mungret improved greatly in the second half and Pat Begley proved best of the Mungret players in this period of play. The score at the final whistle was Ballybrown 4-18 Mungret 1-8. Alan O Connor contributed a further 1-4 in the second half.

The Nolan Motors Factors Henry St City U-21 hurling championship B final saw amalgamated sides Kildimo Pallaskenry and Singland Gaels play out a very entertaining game in Ballybrown on Sunday evening last. Both sides were missing players but great is due to the remainder of them in giving their all over the sixty minutes. Singland held a narrow one point lead at the break but Kildimo Pallaskenry battled back to make a match of it with a goal from Tom Kennedy midway through the second period of play. Gearoid Hegarty was the ace for Singland contribution seven of his side's twelve points. Jack O'Keeffe contributed five of his side's total.
The final score was Singland Gaels 0-12 Kildimo Pallaskenry 1-8.
