Patrickswell GAA Club notes

April 14, 2014
Senior hurlers
The Senior hurlers began their League campaign with a 1-17 to 3-11 draw against Blackrock at home. The City Championship semi-final against Na Piarsaigh is on Easter Sunday April 20 at 2.30pm in Clarina.

U-21 hurlers
The U-21 hurlers reached the County Final after a robust 1-14 to 0-11 semi-final victory over Deel Rangers. Our opponents made a quick start in the strong breeze to build a 0-4 to 0-1 advantage within ten minutes. Patrickswell began to master the elements and responded with a flurry of 1-3 without reply. The remainder of the first half was evenly balanced and the scoreboard favoured the 'Well by 1-7 to 0-8 at the break.

Patrickswell played with the wind in the second half. Deel Rangers remained a threat, but Jack Kelleher kept daylight between the teams with his accurate free-taking. Both sides were reduced to 14 men as Patrickswell added more insurance points to their tally. The result was a six point triumph. Well done to the players and management.
