Limerick minor hurling manager Brian Ryan says there is more to come from his team.

The defending Munster champions opened their 2014 provincial championship account with a nine-point victory over Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds last night and will now face Cork for a place in the final.

Having been knocked out of last year's All-Ireland race in controversial circumstances when a Hawk-Eye error at Croke Park led to Barry Nash's point wrongly being ruled wide, the Treaty County - who still have ten of that side available - are a team with unfinished business.

"It took us a while to settle - we were a little bit nervy, a little bit ring-rusty," their manager told The Irish Examiner after last night's victory.

"They were good tough opposition, Tipperary. I wouldn't be surprised if we were to meet them further down the line.

"I think this team is getting a little bit of confidence even though they didn't play terribly well tonight."
