SHC reaches penultimate stage

September 10, 2010
The Gaelic Grounds will be the venue for a hurling double header as the semi finals of the senior championship take place there on Sunday afternoon.

Na Piarsaigh go into this semi on the back of a moral boosting win over the defending champions Adare and they will be eager to reach successive finals.

However, Kilmallock, with all their underage success in recent years are many people's favourites for this year's title and they have former Clare supremo Tony Considine at the helm.

In the other semi final, Knockainey will be hoping to defeat Emmets and reach their first ever senior hurling final, while the divisional side are bidding to reach the decider for the first time since 1963.
