The Annual General Meeting of the Club was held on Sunday night last at the Clubhouse and was well attended. Officers and Committee for 2009: President: Gerry Piggott. Vice Presidents: Arthur Graham, Matt Whelan. Chairperson: Donal Morrissey. Vice Chair: Mike Tierney. Secretary: Pat Minehan. Asst. Secretary: Denis Murrihy. Treasurer: Mike Rowsome. PRO: Bernie Quirke. Registrar: Bernadette Condon. Youth Officer: Mark Brophy. Co. Board Delegates: Willie Keane, Donal Morrissey. Football Board Delegate: John Keane. East Board Delegates: Tony Condon, Padraig Power. Following last year's AGM, a sub-group was established to examine underage structures in the Club with particular reference to coaching, player participation, curbing player burn-out and player drop-out. A very comprehensive and interesting report was presented by Phelim Macken on behalf of the sub-group and all the recommendations were adopted as a blueprint going forward for underage teams within the Club. All team mentors, Lotto promoters and anybody who has helped in the Club in any way during the year are invited to the Clubhouse this Saturday night at 9.30 p.m. for complimentary drinks and food as a token of thanks from the Committee. The December Club Lotto will also take place on Saturday night in the Clubhouse. The first anniversary Mass for our good friend, Tom Blake, will be held on Sunday next at 9.30 p.m. in Castleconnell Church. The last Poker night before Christmas will be held on this Friday night in the Bar at 10.00 p.m. No plans for New Year's Eve? The Club will host a Karaoke night for Club Members and their guests only on New Year's Eve.
