COUNTY U21 'B' HURLING FINAL
This Sunday, December 14th, will see the last County Club Final of the year played as Killulta Gaels take on the winners of Dromcollogher/Broadford & Blackrock in the U21 'B' Hurling C'Ship. That other semi final takes place this evening, Wednesday December 10th in Newtownshandrum @ 8pm. Which ever team makes it through will prove tough as they have both looked impressive so far. Dromcollogher/Broadford, fresh from their Munster Senior Football C'ship triumph, will face Blackrock as West Champions after a good win against Feenagh/Kilmeedy and an eight point quarter final victory over Pallasgreen by 2-14 to 0-12. Blackrock lost the South Final to Croom by three points but had no such problems in the county quarter final when defeating City Champions Shamrock Gaels by 4-13 to 0-15. Both clubs have a number of inter county stars and it will take a huge effort from our lads to become county champions. Thanks to all who have helped out throughout the season, to our sponsors and our supporters who have really gotten behind the team and will need to show up in huge numbers and encourage the lads on Sunday.

U13 OB' FOOTBALL FINAL
BALLYBROWN 3-2 PALLASKENRY 3-1.
We travelled to Clarina and played Ballybrown last Sunday in the City U13 B Football Final but unfortunately just came up short. We got off to a bad start, Ballybrown got a goal with a shot that looked like going over the bar but dipped under the bar at the last second into the top corner. This was followed by a second goal for the home team as a shot deflected off a Pallas defender giving Eoin Sheehan in the Pallas goal no time to react. We came more into the game though and some constant pressure finally paid off when Ryan Kelly found some space and got our only score of the first half, a goal. We trailed by four points at half time, 2-1 to 1-0, but were boosted by some good play by the likes of Andy Downes, David Clarke, Darren O'Connell & Gary Maher.
We started the second half well as the players showed that they were really up for it and dominated all over the field. The backs were solid with Rowin Howlin, James Fitz, Andy Downes & Jason Barry all playing well. Ross Mann & Gregory Delap were cleaning up well at centre field as we drove on to try and cut the deficit. In a wonderful move Tiernan Fitz took on his man and stuck the ball in the back of the Ballybrown net and Darren O'Connell converted a free before Ballybrown edged ahead again with a point. Our forwards though were causing Ballybrown's defence all sorts of problems and Ryan Kelly went and got a second goal putting Pallas in front by two points with time almost up. Despite hitting the cross bar and uprights three times in the last five minutes it was Ballybrown who found the all important last score with a great goal late on. It was a bitter move to lose a final and both players and management were deeply disappointed at the final whistle. It would be hard to praise this team enough for the way they played and also the management team of Noel Leahy, Jim Holland, Richard Downes & Vincent Fitzgerald. Also thanks to the travelling support of parents and friends who travelled to Clarina only to return disappointed. Mick Dineen on behalf of the City Board praised both teams for a terrific game before presenting the cup to Ballybrown.
Team: Eoin Sheehan, Rowin Howlin, David Clarke, James Fitz, Andy Downes, Jason Barry, Sean Holland, Ross Mann, Gregory Delap, Darren O'Connell, David Holland, Tiernan Fitz, Ryan Kelly, Gary Maher, Christopher Leahy, Karl Healy, Evan Maher.
In U15 hurling we were due to play Claughaun last Sunday in a City Semi Final but received a walkover and now move on to face St. Patricks in the final which is fixed for this Sunday.
LADIES FOOTBALL
Following a meeting held last Sunday week in the Community Centre, Pallaskenry it was decided to enter a Ladies Football Team next year called Killulta Gaels. The ladies will enter the County Novice Championship with players drawn from Pallaskenry, Kildimo & surrounding areas. Anyone interested in playing should contact the Secretary, Agnes O'Dowd on 0863984300, immediately. Also the team is on the look out for a coach/manager preferably with a background in ladies football. Thanks to all who attended and best of luck in the coming year.
