City GAA Board were delighted to host this years County convention last Monday evening at the South Court Hotel and many thanks to our Chairman Paddy Verdon and other officers of the board who help to arrange the meeting and also to our main City G.A.A Board sponsors the South Court Hotel for their help with the convention. It's all systems go on this Friday evening when our interdivisional hurling team take on Eastern Gaels from the East Limerick division in the first round of the interdivisional championship in Newtown at 8.15pm, the other two rounds will take place in mid January. Most of the City panel will come from the City junior and intermediate clubs from the Intermediate clubs of Monaleen, Kildimo, Mungret and Ballybrown and from the Junior clubs of St. Patrick's, Old Christians, Crecora and Pallaskenry to win out this competition. The panel has been training for the last couple of weeks under the watchful eye of team manager Eamonn Cosgrave. Team coach Pat Davern will have the panel ready for their first test on this Friday evening and many thanks to the Patrickswell Club and specially to Martin Ryan secretary of the club for providing their facilities to the Board for training.
