St. Patrick's GAA Club Notes

December 09, 2008
The first of our double finals for our under 15 squad will take place on this Sunday when our under 15 hurlers will take on Pallaskenry at home in Rhebogue in the final of the City under 15 hurling league at 2pm. A great day was had by all when Santa arrived at the Club last Sunday evening even though he was a bit late when one of the reindeers got sick but all the boys and girls were delighted when he arrived twenty minutes late. It was great to see such a big turnout for the Christmas party and it shows that the Club will survive for a long time yet when you see all the young Boys and Girls at the Clubhouse. Many thanks to all involved in making the Christmas party such a great occasion for the young ones and also the not so young to Orla O Shaughnessy, Hannah Phelan Eileen Doyle, Jason Higgins and Eamonn Phelan for spending Saturday afternoon decorated the hall up for the Christmas party. On Sunday many thanks to Paddy Phelan, Kenneth Dawson, Mary Roche, Emelda Quilligan, Gladis Doherty, Orla O Shaughnessy, Hannah Phelan Eileen Doyle, Brendan Mullins, Jason Higgins and Eamonn Phelan who all gave many hours of making sure everyone enjoy the annual Christmas party. It's great to see our players involved with the City divisional hurling team and we wish Michael Geary, Wyane Cronin, Kevin Maher, Christopher Reals and Patrick Mullins the best when the City team will face the East side in Newtown on this Friday evening at 8.15pm. Our intermediate Footballers were drawing against Sneem GAA Club from Co. Kerry in the quarter final in the T.V. Celebrity Bainistior competition which will take place around the end of February or early March, Our Celebrity Bainistior Emma O Driscoll represented the club at the draw at Croke Park last Saturday and was delighted that we received a home draw. Our coach will not be known until early January and when that is announces the team will start preparations. The clubs annual general meeting will take place on Monday January 12th   Thanking You Eamonn Phelan P.R.O.
