Ireland Lights Up 2020

Great to see 160people brave the cold once again for our 2nd week of Ireland Lights Up tonight. Join us next Wednesday 22nd January and Friday 24th January for Week 3. We will be hosting the event for 8 weeks. So far numbers have been excellent, and the event has played a major part in bringing the whole community together twice a week for some exercise. For those of you who do not wish to carry out the road circuit you can accompany those who are carrying out circuits of the walkway around the Astroturf pitch. This is a free event; we look forward to seeing you all again this evening and Friday and would encourage many more new participants to come along and bring a friend also.

Venue: Ardagh Astro Turf

Walk starts at 7pm with registration from 6.45pm

Please wear hi-viz and bring a torch

A great way to get fit, clear the mind & meet new people. Everyone welcome!

Lotto

Congratulations to Eamon Ambrose, Ardagh who hit the jackpot this past week when he won the €20,000 prize fund in the Ardagh Development Association / St. Kieran’s GAA Lottery. Eamon is an ever-dependable young player within the club and the win is very deserving for all his hard work and commitment to the club.

Bereavement:

The club was saddened to hear of the passing of Pat Enright, originally from Coolcappagh at the weekend. Pat was a great participant in quizzes over the years and won many West and County Scór question time competitions during the 80’s. Up until his passing Pat had been residing in Duagh and practicing as a solicitor in Co. Kerry. We would like to express our condolences to his wife Bríd, children Elsa and Con, brothers Neil, Donal and John, sisters Siobhan, Rosemary and Elizabeth and his extended family. May he rest in peace.
