AGM

Our AGM was held recently. All officers were returned to their post and management teams for the year ahead were appointed. We look forward to a competitive and hopefully successful 2020.

 

Senior Football Championship

The draw for the 2020 Senior Football Championship took place before Christmas. We were drawn alongside Drom/Broadford, Monaleen, Galtee Gaels, Fr. Casey's & Newcastle West. Fixture arrangements will be posted as soon as they become available.

 

Intercounty

Congratulations to both the Limerick Senior Hurlers and Footballers on their impressive victories last Saturday night. Danny Neville continued his impressive form on his return to intercounty action and kicked seven points as Limerick held on to beat a strong Cork side on a final score of 0-20 to 0-16. Well done to Billy Lee, his management team and all players involved on what was a first McGrath Cup success for the Club since 2005.

In the Munster Hurling League Final, Limerick ran out comfortable victors against Cork on a final score of 1-32 to 0-20. Well done to everyone involved.

 

With such a bright preseason accounted for, attention will now turn to the National Leagues. The footballers will compete in Division 4 and will begin their campaign away to Waterford on Saturday January 25th. Throw in is scheduled for 7pm in Fraher Field. The hurlers will begin their bid to retain the Hurling League on the same night with a trip to Tipperary. Throw in at Thurles is scheduled for 5.15pm.

 

Season Ticket

Season Tickets for 2020 can be purchased online at https://seasonticket.gaa.ie

The Season tickets allows you to follow your County team in your chosen code throughout the National League & Championship.

The Club+ option can be added allowing you to attend club matches (hurling & football) that are run under the County Board.

 

Parish GAA Book

The Club will be releasing a book on the history of the GAA in the Askeaton-Ballysteen parish. If anyone has old photographs or stories regarding GAA in the parish, contact Paul Anglim.
