U21 West Championship

Shannon Gaels 2-10

Daithi Brudair's 0-10

The weather was poor last Saturday in Athea but in fairness to their ground staff the pitch was in good condition. Our opponents had much the better of the exchanges in the first half and took full advantage of the wind to lead by eight points at half time.

We started the second half much more livelier and within six minutes had 2-1 on the board. We hit the front on the 45th minute mark and didn't relinquish the lead from then on. Next up in Granagh-Ballingarry in two weeks time, and another win will put us into a West final.

Team:Shane O'Sullivan, Cormac Healy, Jamie Fitzgerald, Patrick Cregan, Paul O'Donnell, Sean Horan, Tomás Woulfe, Ronan Culhane, Maurice Moore, MJ, Jack Sheehan, Brendan Flanagan, Cian Culhane, Sheagh O'Connor, Stephen Martin. Subs: Conor Shine, Ciarán McNamara, Johnny O'Sullivan, Jack O'Neill, Shane Cregan, Darragh Leahy, Colm McSweeney.

AGMs

Glin GAAs annual AGM will take place on Friday, November 22nd at 8pm in the clubhouse. All are welcome.

The Bord na nÓg AGM will take place on Wednesday week, November 13th at 8pm in the clubhouse. After such great success with our underage teams this year, we'd be delighted to see new faces get involved helping out our young footballers of the future!
