Ballysteen versus Rathkeale (U21 Premier County Football Championship, Round 1)

We were unfortunate to fall to a one point defeat against Rathkeale in our opening Championship game on Bank Holiday Monday. There's still plenty of time left to qualify for the knockout stages with games against Monaleen & Newcastle West to come. There were several strong displays all over the field from Daniel Fitzgerald in goals to Tomas Sheahan up front.

Team: D. Fitzgerald; E. Condon, J. Daly, C. Rushe; C. Daly, C. Ferris, K. Walsh; B. Casey, J. O'Shaughnessy; A. McGrath, D. Ranahan, K. Barry; T. Sheahan, E. O'Donoghue, P. O'Shaughnessy.

Fixtures

Our U21 Footballers will play Newcastle West in Round 2 of the Premier competition next Tuesday (12/11/19) night at Mick Neville Park (8pm throw in). After an encouraging performance in our opening game, the lads will be well prepared for a tough battle against a Newcastle West side that will feature several players who featured in their Senior team's run to the County Championship. Best of luck to all involved and all support welcome.

Our Junior Footballers are still awaiting confirmation of their West Final Replay. Follow our social media channels for further information.
