The scene of a father and son playing in the same game is nothing new, but when they are on opposite sides it is unusual.

The SHC relegation play-off between Garryspillane and Knockainey saw Brian O’Shea line out at full forward for the latter, while his son Dylan played for Garryspillane.

It was the Bouncers who triumphed by 0-18 to 1-08 and in doing so preserved their senior status, while at the same time relegating their opponents.

The younger O’Shea scored eight points during the game from wing forward, including six points from frees.
