Former Limerick captain Donal O’Grady has been added to the senior hurling management team for 2020.

As expected, John Kiely has returned for another two-year term, with the option of a third year in place also.

The 2018 All-Ireland winning manager had to make changes to his backroom team with O’Grady coming in to replace Brian Geary, who has departed due to work commitments.

O’Grady managed the Limerick under-15s this year, but is fondly remembered as an excellent captain for the senior team.

Also drafted in is Mikey Kiely as the new strength and conditioning coach; replacing the highly rated Joe O’Connor in the role.

Kiely has worked with the Limerick senior footballers in the past as well as the Limerick under-21s when they won the All-Ireland in 2017.

Paul Kinnerk, Alan Cunningham and Aonghus O’Brien all remain in the backroom team for the coming year.
